What we do

Documenting workers for employment in Belgium

Our firm employs workers officially and prepares every document lawful work in Belgium requires.

Registering workers with LIMOSA

Lawful work in Belgium requires every foreign worker to be registered with LIMOSA once the rest of the paperwork is in place.

Legal support

Throughout the engagement we defend the worker's legal position.

How a worker is taken on in Belgium through a Polish company

The arrangement runs through our Polish firm. Workers travel from Poland to Belgium, or to another country of the European Union, on an A1 certificate and its supporting documents.

An A1 certificate is issued by the Polish social insurance authority, ZUS; it is also called a zaświadczenie A1. It confirms that contributions are being paid for the worker in Poland, and it holds good in Poland and across the European Union.

Specimen documents

  • The A1 certificate
  • PESEL — the identification number
  • Tax residence certificate (CFR-1)
  • European Health Insurance Card (EKUZ)
  • LIMOSA registration

The documents we produce

  • The work permit
  • The documents needed to obtain a Polish work visa
  • Confirmation that the worker is engaged by the Polish company
  • BHP — the certificate of health and safety training
  • PESEL — the identification number confirming the worker's registration in Poland
  • The tax residence certificate (CFR-1)
  • The A1 certificate from the Polish firm, for Belgium
  • The European Health Insurance Card (EKUZ)
  • LIMOSA registration

How the work runs

To begin official employment and posting to Belgium, or to another country of the European Union, in a role our company offers, a worker takes the following steps.

  1. 01

Come to the company's office in Lublin

This is where the paperwork is done, namely:

    • signing the employment contract (umowa o pracę) and its accompanying documents
    • passing the compulsory medical examination
    • opening a wage account in PLN or EUR (where needed)
    • obtaining a PESEL number (where needed)
  2. 02

    Receive the set of documents

Once the contract is signed, the worker receives within 2 to 5 working days the full set of documents that lawful work requires.

  3. 03

    Start work

The worker can start work officially within five working days of signing the contract.

  4. 04

    Employment abroad

With every document in hand, the worker starts on site in Belgium or in another country of the European Union, in the role they chose or were offered.
